Microsoft Unveils Bing Integration with ChatGPT for Seamless Search

Microsoft's search engine Bing has integrated with OpenAI's ChatGPT, which will now feature Bing as its default search engine, providing users with more timely and up-to-date answers.

Bing is also expanding its ecosystem by allowing developers to build plugins that work across multiple platforms, including ChatGPT, Dynamics 365 Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Windows Copilot.

Bing's expanded support for plugins means people will get more relevant recommendations based on conversations.

The plugins range from OpenTable and Wolfram Alpha to newly added partners like Expedia, Instacart, Kayak, Klarna, Redfin, TripAdvisor, and Zillow.

Examples of the plugins’ capabilities include the following:

Expedia plugin: It enables users to plan their trips through conversational interactions, making the travel experience smooth and hassle-free.

Instacart plugin: Users can convert Bing-generated dinner menus into shopping lists and conveniently order groceries for delivery from their preferred grocery stores.

Besides ChatGPT, Bing is also collaborating with Microsoft's copilots to enhance its integration.

The recently introduced Windows Copilot will utilize Bing Chat to provide personalized responses, helpful recommendations, and convenient actions within Windows 11 applications.
