Google is enhancing its experimental AI search feature, Search Generative Experience (SGE), by adding more webpage links within the AI-generated summaries.
This improvement allows users to easily access the source pages for the information provided in the summary. Previously, users had to scroll down to find the links.
The change comes as Google expands the availability of SGE to India and Japan after testing in the U.S.
However, the expanded selection of web page links is only available in the U.S.
This enhancement is designed to complement traditional search results and address concerns over potential misinformation.
Early feedback has been positive, particularly among younger users. SGE helps users understand topics faster, gain new perspectives, and accomplish tasks efficiently.
The feature is now available in India and Japan, supporting local languages. Google plans to expand SGE to more countries in the future.
