Google's Response to 'Hostload Exceeded' Errors: What You Need to Know

There has been a recent increase in errors with Google Search Console's URL Inspection Tool, specifically a "failed: hostload exceeded" error.

Google's John Mueller has stated that this issue is caused by spammers overloading the tool.

However, normal indexing is working fine. If users encounter this error, they should wait a few days before trying again.

It is not necessary to use the URL inspection tool to submit URLs to Google's crawl queue.

Instead, linking to the URL from the site's homepage is suggested. Google is investigating the issue and working on blocking spam attempts.

Overall, if users encounter this error, it is not their fault but an error on Google's end.
